Conference and Exhibition Products
Some of the covers for the Conference & Exhibition market are specialised and we are happy to provide some brief details of the cover as follows:

Liability

Traditionally a liability policy is to cover any personal injury or property damage to a third party as a result of your negligence.  We all know how things have headed with respect to legal costs these days and this section will include defence costs to defend a claim.  Typical claims we all think of are the slip and fall incidents but the things that are worth thinking about are things such as a building catching fire due to the placement of electrical equipment to close to a wall.  Remember never to admit liability as the cover will generally only respond when you are negligent by law.

Cancellation & Abandonment

There is an ever growing need for Cancellation & Abandonment cover as costs increase and natural disasters become a continuous threat on our nation.  This section could receive a claim in many ways but one very simple example is if the venue is shut down by authorities following a workplace death and therefore your event can not bump in and proceed.  The policy would respond and firstly look to see of the event could be moved or otherwise face total cancellation.  Extensions to this cover also include Adverse Weather (cover for events in the open air) and Non Appearance (where the event is reliant upon the appearance of a particular person).

Property

What property are you responsible for??  Hopefully you have not signed any contracts that have made you responsible for equipment that should not be your responsibility.  If you are required to insure property that you have hired in for the event then this is the place to do so.  Cover includes risks such as Fire, Theft, Water Damage etc.  We do understand that you will have some of your own property on site for the event including your business/office equipment and this policy will protect those items.

Money

It is not as common these days to collect money at the door but in the case that you are doing so you can declare the limit of money cover you require to be insured.  Money cover can include the following: On Premises During Event Hours, On Premises After Event Hours, In a Safe, In Transit, In Personal Custody.  Depending on the limit required we would require further security details and this would ensure you are protected correctly should the need arise.
