H2 Insurance Solutions was founded in 2007 by Jason Holmes with the key goal of specialising in the entertainment and film industry.  Trading as an Authorised Representative through Insurance Advisernet, one of Australasia's largest General Insurance Brokers, the business has continued to grow and develop into Australia’s leading entertainment insurance broker. 

In 2019, H2 Insurance Solutions was acquired by Tysers Insurance Brokers, a London based brokerage firm with offices all over the world servicing clients in over 100 countries across the globe.  Tysers was founded in 1820 and is proud to be celebrating its 200-year anniversary in 2020.  As the 6th largest broker placing business into Lloyd’s of London, Tysers place over USD 3bn of premium into the market.  Additionally, in 2019 H2 Insurance Solutions acquired a well-established entertainment brokerage book of business, led by Peter Bloomfield in Melbourne. 

Amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, the business has continued to expand, opening a New Zealand office in July led by Lisa Ciniglio, an experienced film and entertainment insurance broker.

Jason Holmes / Head of Region – Asia Pacific – Sunshine Coast, QLD

Jason Holmes began his insurance career with an international broker back in 1995, and over the last 25 years he has looked after insurance for all facets of the entertainment industry. Since founding H2 Insurance Solutions in 2007, it has always been Jason’s mission to give his clients a professional yet personal brokerage experience.

As a specialist in insurance for the entertainment & events, film, conference & exhibition industries, with a particular focus on event cancellation & non-appearance insurance, Jason is always looking for areas of improvement and prides himself on understanding the unique needs of his clients, to ensure their specifications are met and expectations are exceeded. With a portfolio of national and international clients, including Nitro Circus, TEG Dainty, Chugg Entertainment, Bluesfest and Live Nation, Jason has all the tools and experience to best represent his clients to insurers.

Peter Bloomfield / Entertainment Principal – Melbourne, VIC

Peter is a well-known and highly experienced insurance broker, starting his career in 1973 for a New Zealand insurance company’s Melbourne brokers branch where he worked for 7 years. Deciding to specialise in the entertainment industry, in 1980, Peter went out on his own, broking with various partnerships until 2019 when he merged his business with H2 Insurance Solutions. 

Throughout his 30+ year career, Peter has watched and had a hand in many of his client’s businesses starting up and growing to hugely successful ventures. 

Outside of work, Peter has a passion for horse racing, having raced many horses in conjunction with players in the entertainment industry. He also enjoys running, tennis, and weekends away at his beach house.

Chris Arif-Ball / Senior Account Manager – Sunshine Coast, QLD

Chris began his insurance career in 2007 with a Lloyd’s registered global music and entertainment insurance broker in London. During his time as a broker, he has provided insurance and risk management advice to all participants in the event industry including artists/bands, festivals, promoters, event organisers/managers/producers, agents, record companies, recording studios and production/tech companies.

At H2 Insurance Solutions, Chris is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and tailoring comprehensive cover to provide clients with protection and peace of mind for the unexpected.

When he is not working, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and various sports including football, golf, and mountain-biking.

Lisa Ciniglio / Senior Account Manager – Auckland, NZ

Lisa began her insurance career in 2004 with a general insurance broker. In 2009 Lisa combined her love of acting with her insurance experience by working for Front Row Insurance Brokers (Canada's largest entertainment brokerage) where she provided tailored insurance solutions for producers and production companies with their Feature Films, TV shows, MOWs, Documentaries, TV Commercials, Music Videos & Events.

In July 2018 Lisa moved to Auckland, New Zealand and joined Mahony Film & Entertainment Insurance, a division of Wallace McLean Ltd. Lisa worked with NZ producers providing covers for their Feature Films, Documentaries, TV Commercials, Musical Theatre Productions and Music Festivals. She also worked with international production companies providing local NZ covers for productions filming in NZ. 

Lisa joined H2 Insurance in July 2020 where she continues to provide tailored insurance covers for her clients.

In her spare time Lisa enjoys CrossFit, yoga, spending time with her family and friends, travelling, attending concerts, musicals and the theatre. Lisa also enjoys acting and has appeared in a few Canadian TV commercials and has voiced numerous radio commercials.

Fiona Carley / Operations Director AU/NZ – Melbourne, VIC

Fiona joined the H2 Insurance Solutions team in September 2020 to oversee our Australian and New Zealand operations. Fiona will help with the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring the best outcomes for our people and our clients.

Fiona brings with her a wealth of experience in the financial services sector, having previously worked as operations manager for a boutique financial planning and accounting firm.  

Fiona is a highly organised, enthusiastic and driven individual who works hard but also likes to have a good time and a laugh while doing it. Fiona is currently studying her Masters of Business Administration and when not working or studying she loves to travel, enjoy the outdoors with her family, run and keep fit.

Fiona Balaam / Account Manager – Sunshine Coast, QLD

Fiona has had a long and successful career throughout all facets of the insurance industry. With 14 years’ experience as the in-house underwriter for an international insurer and 4 years working with claims, she has gained a wealth of knowledge in all things insurance.

As an Account Manager at H2 Insurance Solutions, Fiona uses her past knowledge and experience to best tailor cover to her clients and accommodate to their needs. 

When she is not being an insurance guru, Fiona enjoys travelling, seeing live music, and volunteering.

Lara Emanuelli / Account Manager – Sunshine Coast, QLD

Lara is a dedicated and highly motivated person, who’s natural ability to empathise enables her to understand her clients and their business needs. She began her insurance career in 2017 after working as a croupier at Crown Casino in Perth and venturing into small business ownership. 

She manages the Conference and Exhibition division at H2 Insurance Solutions and specialises in Cancellation, Adverse Weather, Non-Appearance, Liability and Professional Liability insurance policies. Lara’s knowledge within this niche market continues to strengthen, expand and evolve. She proficiently manages insurance policies for hundreds of conferences each year and tailors comprehensive cover for event organisers/owners. 

In her free time, Lara loves the outdoors; going camping, hiking, and mountain-biking with her family.

Stella Tolios / Account Manager – Melbourne, VIC 

Starting her career at an insurance brokerage firm in Melbourne, she worked for a year before moving to work at QBE, where for five years, she worked closely with the Business Development Manager. There, she learnt about the inner workings of the insurance industry and gained valuable experience which she could continue to harness in the future. After leaving QBE, she returned to work as a broker and her career has continued to flourish.

In December 2019, Stella started her journey with H2 Insurance Solutions as the Account Manager for the SME book of business, specialising in Business, Home, and Motor Insurance. Stella is honest and reliable and utilises her strong work ethic to go above and beyond for her clients.

Tracy Powell / Account Broker – Melbourne, VIC

Tracy is a hard-working individual who strives for perfection in her work. She started her insurance career in 1998 at an insurance company in New Zealand. After working for 5 years, she continued her profession in London in 2003. She then began her Brokerage career in 2006 when she moved to Australia. With experience as part of an insurer and as a broker, Tracy has a vast knowledge of the industry and keen eye for detail.

Tracy began her journey at H2 Insurance Solutions in March 2020 and has been flourishing ever since, working tirelessly to help both clients and staff alike.

Outside of the office, Tracy enjoys going to the gym, socialising with friends and spending time with her family.

Jordan McClenaghan / Account Broker – Sunshine Coast, QLD

Jordan is a driven individual with a great attention to detail and drive for business. Starting out managing retail stores, he exceled in his relationships with both clients and staff. Craving a new challenge, Jordan began his career in insurance with H2 Insurance Solutions.

His role involves liaising with insurers to best provide insurance solutions to best fit our client’s needs, along with assisting the other brokers with their day to day needs.

Outside of work, Jordan is a keen musician, lover of coffee, and enjoys rock climbing.
